WHO WOULD HAVE "THUNK" IT???

THINK AT AHS

How long have we had THINK at Atlanta High School?

As I scanned AHS yearbooks I noticed that THINK has been a long tradition at AHS!    Yes, THINK has been around for a long time.    We had THINK in our schools for over thirty years!   THINK has been in three Atlanta High Schools.    What happened to THINK?    I wonder if we still have THINK in our school?   Will you be on the lookout and help me to find out if we still have THINK in our school?

THINK 1
"Class Officers with THINK in the Principals office in the mid forties."

"THINK in the Superintendent's office in the late 40's! THINK 2
THINK 3 "The Superintendent liked THINK and kept THINK in his office in the early 50's."
"THINK was transfered to the Superintendent's new office in the mid 50's and shared with his secretary." THINK 4
THINK 5 "THINK was even shared with the Faculty! I think they liked THINK."
"THINK got sideways with the Principal at the New high school. "

THINK 6
THINK 7 "It has been verified that THINK was straightened out by the pricipal and they were on good terms well into the late 70's!"

I have felt the same way as THINK at times..... At least the part about being straightened out by the principal!

Is THINK still around?    Do you know THINK?    Does THINK still exist?    Will THINK ever come around again?    These are questions that need to be answered.    How can we find the whereabouts of THINK?    Will you help find THINK?    Will you use THINK?    Have you ever worked with THINK?    Hopefully we can answer these questions and more as we continue the search for THINK!

NEWSFLASH!

Just when you thought the saga of THINK was over and that THINK was ONLY found at AHS.... THINK AGAIN! THINK WAS FOUND AT IBM! Yes, one our AHS Alumni recently visited the Computer History Museum and found THINK there!
THINK Again

The classic IBM "THINK" sign was said to be a permanent feature of IBM offices around the world until the 1970s. The "THINK" concept as company mantra originated with IBM founder Thomas J. Watson Sr. in the 1940s and was often parodied outside of IBM (in the.shtmls of Datamation, for example) when this high standard went occasionally unmet.

This kind of makes you wonder just how THINK came to Atlanta!
