REUNION REPORT
Around 30 classmates attended at least one of the events during the weekend of October 27th, 2001 for the Atlanta High School Class of '61 reunion. The schedule for the class reunion worked out well including a trip to Golden Villa to visit classmates and friends.
A number of the classmates attended the Atlanta Rabbit football game and cheered the Rabbits to a win over Queen City. Pete Motley from the class of '59 recorded the event in pictures at the main event held at the Indian Hill Country Club. A number of classmates unable to attend sent picture memorabilia for us to share. Thanks to Tommy Hebert for the pictures he sent.
A great deal of the work for the reunion was done by classmates Sonya Hicks and Linda Grubbs. These girls tool care of the food, beverages and scheduling of the country club.
Mike Davis volunteered to work on a "birthday party" get together in Dallas either next year or the next, to coincide the year the class turns 60.
REUNION SCHEDULE
Friday October 26th - Class of '61 Classmates with gather at the Indian Hills Country Club on Friday evening. A group will also attend the Atlanta vs. Queen City Football game. After the game everyone will meet again at the I.H.C.C.
Saturday October 27th- Classmates will gather at 9:00 AM at the Indian Hills Country Club for breakfast.
At 3 PM classmates will gather at Golden Villa for a reception honoring classmember resident Avice Goudeau Clayton.
At 7:00 PM classmates will again gather at Indian Hills Country Club with snacks and soft drinks served, cash bar. No dinner will be served
